July Weather Summary with temperature record

July 2019 was not the hottest month but July recorded the hottest temperature since the start of the keeping records in Belgium (and by myself :) )
On July 25th, a temperature of 44°C was recorded. Be aware the equipment is located in direct sunlight; so official temperature will be lower as registrated by KMI in Uckle (39.7°C).
I counted 5 raindays with rainfall comparable as previous year.

Halo with Sundogs

During cycling in Bangkok I was able to make above picture of a halo with on both sides very bright sundogs. Picture was taken using iPhone 6.

Very Bright Halo

On July 17, somewhere in the National Park of Kanchanaburi (Thailand), I could make this picture of a very bright Halo. It's one of the most brightest ones I ever could observe.

Milky Way above Ko Pha-ngan

Waiting for a clear sky above Ko Pha-ngan (Thailand) was worthwile. At first I thought still to see some clouds but ... it was the milky way. Not being prepared and not having any equipment with me I managed to make some pictures. Pictures were not taken in RAW, apenture was unfortunately not 100% open (f/5.6) and pictures were manualy taken. But even then it's a great picture with an unforgattable view from this Island.

Zonnekijkdag Helios Averbode

Helios Averbode staat vandaag vanaf 13h00 aan Het Moment van de Abdij van Averbode. Kom gerust een kijkje nemen.

Zonnekijkdag Averbode

Vandaag is iedereen welkom op de zonnekijkdag. Vanaf 13h00 staat sterrenvereniging Helios Averbode aan "Het Moment" van de abdij van Averbode. Met telescopen met speciale filters zal het mogelijk zijn om naar de zon te kijken, natuurlijk wanneer er geen wolken zijn.
