DIY Solargraph

It's almost June 21 and thus time to prepare your pinhole camera shooting solargraphs.
This time I will be using different, not glossy, photo paper. I will also try using a bigger can capturing the sunlight. We will see the results after 6 months, hopefully :)

No sunspots today

It's almost two years ago that we observed a sun without any sunspot's! Within the next months and upcoming years we will get used to it :)

DIY Solargraphy - Are you ready?

Interested in making your own Solargraph? Taking a picture with an exposure of 6 months? Do you like to experiment with pinhole camera's?

If the answer is yes, it's time to start if you want to be ready for the next solstice. See my DIY Solargraph bloglink how to get great results from a self made pinhole camera.

Solargraph Dec21 - June 1, 2016

Unfortunately due to the heavy rain my pinhole camera was disconnected and I had to open the can. The solargraph shows the sun from dec 21, untill june 1, 2016... not reaching the entire sun cycle.
The position of this solargraph was set towards the south with 50° angle. As a comparison I made a compilation between the solagraphs from the same period but with set with an angle of 0°.

Almost same period but different angle.
